Engagement Ring - Valuation for Irish Insurance Purposes

Good morning forum,

I have read a lot of threads in this and other forums and appreciate your patience as this question has probably been asked and answered many times. Before anyone threatens me with a nasty death I should point out that we merely want to have a Solitare diamond engagement ring (which I bought in a UK jewellers) professionaly appraised and valued in Ireland. I am Irish but currently work a lot in the UK, the ring will reside in Ireland on my beautiful girlfriend :-) therefore we want to cover it here under our Irish home insurance, our permanent home.

I have an appraisal from the UK jewellers where the ring was purchased however I feel for proper cover, an appraisal/valuation from recognised Irish jeweller would be more useful should we ever need to claim in the future. So a few questions;

(1) where is the best jewellers in Dublin to get this done?
(2) How long does it take? Same day possible or while you wait?
(3) How much should we pay for this service?
