Guys I'm looking for some help.

this is a football game that I only ever saw in one arcade, Ricardos on Camden St Dublin.

I dont think it was called mutant football, but when you won the world cup you got to play a mutant team at the end, I think it had an all star team too.

The graphics were decent, I think there were only two buttons, but pressing the two together let you jump over a tackle, heading the ball was execellent in this game, I wonder if that is enough info identify it.

would have been around 1994 and it was set up a little like super side kicks but the view was from further back,

Hmmm... If it's not Football Champ (Hat Trick hero) and It's not any off the SSK games that doen't leave very many from that era. Is it Kick off by Jaleco? I'll have a look thru MAME later but you as you've mentioned the worldcup it could have been World cup 94 from Tecmo?

Was this not the game where you played the all star team at the end and depending on the amount of goals scored you went on to play a team of aliens if you beat the all star team.

Atari Expo in tallaght had it, I used to play it all the time. The name escapes me but I will look through MAME now for it.

yes there was an all star team to play before the mutant/alien team, that's correct we are getting there.

    Atari Expo.......mmmmmmmmmm.

The only football games that I remember being in that arcade were the many versions of Virtua Striker and the very lame Football Power.

I wonder if that little weird fella still works in the Expo, the short fat man with a beard, he always reminded me of an Oompa-Loompa from the 1970's movie version of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

This was done long before they changed the layout. If i remember rightly they had this facing their Xmen COTA machine for a long time.

I've seen that lad there a few times when I am up that way.
