Memory cannot copy large files

I recently bought a 64 Gb memory stick on eBay, form a supplier that has proved reliable in the past. Files are copied without problem, except large video files. 200 MB files are ok, but larger files ( 700 MB or so ) give me an error message: cannot render the file, when I try to open them from the memory stick, or after |I copy them back to the hard drive. I've tried other files, pdf, doc, zip, etc. and had no problems.

Any help appreciated

Did you format the memory stick using FAT32 file system, if so you should be able to copy over individual files up to 4GB in size.
