    Hi,

I recently moved a TV to a different corner of a room and ran a couple of coaxials (from the existing feed using F connections) under the floor to facilitate sky +. I don’t know what spec the cable was as I didn’t realize that it was important. I checked first that I was getting a signal and as everything seemed fine, down went the floor.
And then…. :( First I found that I couldn’t record and view at once so presumably one of the cables is wonky. This wasn’t a big deal and I was prepared to make do. But I have since found that it is very difficult to get a signal to come though at all. It takes lots of persuasion by way of connecting and reconnecting the cables on the sky box and eventually the signal will come through fine and all will be well unless I try to change channels after recording or I suspect, until I put the box on standby and resume. The frustrating thing about the former case is that the info on signal strength indicates that one of the signals is fine but I cannot find a way to force that signal into the game. In the latter case the signal info suggests that there is no signal on either feed. Is there anything I can do short of digging up the floor?

    Many thanks for any help

if the connections are under the floor , no.

otherwise you could try new lengths of cable over the floor.
