Right im a leaving cert Student in Dublin and im Doing Higher level and i want to know does anyone know what to Fill out in the Profolio(?speeling wrong?) Its a Fixed Granty Crane and i also need help in coming up with a disign on how to make it.... i need it soon... anyone help me please??:confused:

Follow the marking scheme supplied to you; talk to your teacher and get hold of a folio on of the leaving certs did last year.

I remember borrowing the folder my cousin had prepared for his leaving cert engineering project and it happened to be on fixed gantry cranes. this project has come up on numerous occasions. I believe it came up in either 2001 or 2001 (plus or minus a few years) and also back in maybe 1995 (again plus minus a few years). So maybe if you know someone who did their leaving cert in in or around those years, they might have their folder up in the attic and a working model.

Was just looking up this website myself as I'm doing a course in electrical control systems and it might be useful for you.

Just google meccano cranes or lego cranes and you could probably get tonnes of info. If you have used 3D cAD software such as SolidWorks which I know they're using in technology classes (Tech Drawing) you could do your design sketches on this or get a friend to help you out. Hope this helps.

it says fixed gantry crane does that mean it cant have wheels like this
