Car Auctions, what are the pitfalls?

A 2008 Toyota Corrolla 1.4 petrol, 80000km went for €8,700 in one of the car auctions last night!

Are there any potential pitfalls that I should be aware of before bidding for one of these cars?

Bring a mechanic. It could be a heap of crap.....and could fall apart when you drive up the road. You will also have no comeback.

Auction cars can also be ex rentals or ex business vehicles so might not have been looked after very well at all.

And as can been seen from your first post.......80k kms on a 2008 1.4 corolla is very big mileage

Would that be the fella Gallagher by any chance?;) Seriously though thread very carefully some awful crap going through there, people see the reg and think it's a bargain and if you do get caught you've got no comeback.
