Did anyone else notice that a few nights ago, the power went off in the Castleknock area for most of the night? Also, the power went off again this afternoon just as I was finishing a letter on my computer which I promptly lost due to the outage.

Are there works in the area causing these outages ?Are they planned? Because if they are - I've not heard of them. The outages are also causing my alarm to go AWOL.:(

It went in Blanch IT today, twice.

It also blew the fuse on my PC at home.

    Thanks guys.

So it seems it's not just Castleknock that's been affected, but the wider Dublin 15 area? What's the story?

On Friday the power was out for a short while (~10mins for me).
I reported it to ESB. A while later they rang me back and explained that they had a short issue with the high tension lines and it affected loads of places, from Finglas, through D15 and down to Lucan.
