His overall strike rate (I regard anything thats placed at e/w prices as a hit) appears to be coming back up.

Got 33/1 about Holdem with Cashmans and 20/1 Doric Lady with Ladbrokes both about an hour before their races...

By the way it's kinda obvious that a price will change ( especially in a low grade handicap ) if a tipping line / tv tipster that has a good record tips them up.

If he didn't tip the horses they wouldn't shorten them up unless the stable / someone else fancied them.

So I think he can claim the prices as genuine when he gives out his tips and therefore he can use them for his profit / loss figures.

As for these long losing streaks certain posters would regard Holdem as a loser...

If you want consecutive winners stick to Kieran 'I Wouldn't Oppose An Oddson Shot' O'Connell for a month to level stakes and tell us how much you lose. You will of course like him back more winners and tell everyone that you are Ireland's top topster because of this

It was me who counted up his long sequences of losers. I didnt count returns from each way bets as winners, but at the same time I didnt count his each way bets that lost as two losers.

    1.50 SOUTHWELL

1 pt each-way PRINCESS SHAMAL (20-1 Paddy Power, VC Bet) 13.00
PRINCESS SHAMAL’s prospects are less obvious, but I reckon she’s a 10-1 chance currently trading at 16s so she makes a little appeal in the nursery (1.50)

I think Hugh Taylor is an excellent tipster. The fact that he makes consistent profits at advised prices proves that. But the flaw is that he looks for value in his bets. So he looks for a 6/1 shot that's priced at 10/1. The bookies know that too and cut the price straight away. So we mug punters never get the value unless you are hovering over the ATR website and can get on before the price is cut. The horse he picks isn't neccessarily the most likely winner just the one with the most value that has a chance.

So I have decided to oppose him in the last few days. Since then I've had one winner and a bunch of ew places mostly finishing ahead of his tip. My reasoning is that I can get value on the other horses who sometime drift in response to his tip dropping in price.

I missed the first two tips today but tonight I'm going for Leelu in the 9:20 although I do think I have a saver on his tip. Leelu is well drawn and a good price for a consistent horse or was because it's been cut too so somebody else thinks like me. Goodbye Cash has been cut to 5/1 now and is no value. The favourite is poorly drawn and no value at all.

So Leelu in the 9:20, see if my run continues.

This is not a flaw, this is the only way to stay ahead, look for value..

No Aidan, you misunderstand and I didn't make myself clear. I know that's the point. Value is everything. But it's hard to get the value when the bookies cut the price. The value goes. I've seen him tip up a 10/1 horse saying it should have been 6/1. By that time on most bookies, the price was 6/1. The value was gone.

If his tips weren't published for all to see, you might get the value price. But as it is, it's hard now that he's known to be quite good. That's the flaw; his tips being very public. But even if he had a tipping line the bookies would simply sign up and cut the price. I was a member of one tipping line who always looked for value. At times I would be sitting at the computer with the phone to my ear at the exact time the tip was put out only to see the price change before my eyes. The bookies subscribe too.

Goodbye Cash was 8/1 now it's as low as 4/1. The value is gone.
