Hey all. Having some trouble with my 96 corolla, background is that I had my nct last week and the only problem was wheel alignment and emissions so I gather everything else was ok.
A few days later my mate needs a jump off me, works grand. Next day I go to shop, car sounds a bit funny starting but get to shop, not far away. Get back in car, battery dead. Get jump off my mate, drive back home. He says he’ll take it to work next day were one of the lads said he’ll give the battery a full charge. Fine, so my mate drives it home from work about a 30 min drive , everything fine. I get in it last night to go out , car dies after 5 mins , I can feel it coming too, lights are dim, dash lights dim, radio going mental. Wont start, get it jumped a few times, keeps dying after 30 secs, end up towing it back home.
Really confused, any comments or advice welcome ????
Battery only a year old and never had any trouble with car till this whole episode.

    Get the alternator checked.
    Has to be it.

Yeah it looks like the alternator isn't charging the battery.

When you were jumping the car did someone put the leads on backwards first?

That can really screw with the system sometimes.
