Alot of people going for Dempsey and Zamora of Fulham. They seem to have the best fixtures

Was thinking Dempsey myself but is it worth a 4 point hit as I've already made a sub getting Carew in. Was too quick didnt even notice the double GW. :(

    A. Cole is out for a while, contrary to what I though on the last page.
Chelsea have been rocked by the news that Ashley Cole has sustained a depressed fracture of the tibia.

The full-back was ruled out of the England squad for next weekend's friendly with Brazil because of the injury.

Cole missed three games after initially sustaining the injury in the Blues' 4-0 home win against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last month.

The former Arsenal man returned against Atletico last week, but he aggravated the injury in Spain.

Cole played through the pain barrier requiring a painkilling injection in order to feature in Sunday's 1-0 win over Manchester United

It is feared the 28-year-old could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines with the problem.

A spokesman for Chelsea confirmed: "Ashley Cole has not been selected in the England squad for their friendly against Brazil.

"He has a depressed fracture of the tibia, an injury first picked up in the Atletico Madrid home match last month.

"He aggravated the injury before the match against Manchester United and required an injection to play.

"However, he further injured it during the game and has therefore been ruled out of this week's England squad."

72 points, with Milner and Jaaskelainen on the bench. That'll do nicely.

As for A Cole, I'd say him being out could have something to do with his marriage. His wife was seen twice on the telly recently, without her wedding ring.

Nothing to do with the fractured tibia no? :p

Bit of a pain, not sure which direction I'll go transer-wise if it's a lengthy lay-off. Have 2 transfers though which might make it easier.

    Ended on 64 this weekend.

How long an injury like this last? He would hardly be back in two weeks???

Cole injury could make Ivanovic a cheap buy...

Fulham for sure next game week.
Everton are brutal at the moment, Hull have 2 home games but are Hull, Blackburn only have bonus-machine Dunn and play a tough game against Birmingham.

    Any word on Benyouns injury?

Anyone know when Arsenal's double gameweek is? It was down as week 15 but now it has been taken off.

What are people doing with A. Cole?

I have him and he is injured now, wondering should I ship him now and bring in Terry? But it'd be my luck Terry would get injured on international duty. Will Cole's price drop before the international break?

I will be selling him - but going to wait! I bought him at 7.0mill and he is now worth 7.3mill so currently I can sell for 7.1mill - if he drops 0.1mill over the next two weeks I can still sell him at the same price - 7.1mill.

You could look at brining in some players who have a double gameweek next from Fulham, Blackburn, Everton and Hull. Will any of those get any cleansheets though is the question???

Hasn't been scheduled yet. No double GW 15 due to Carling Cup

The big 4 are struggling to keep clean sheets too...

Thanks for reminding me about the double game week though!

    Chelsea's defence is pretty tight.

I'm trying to decide myself. The Guardian are being a bit more upbeat about his progress:

The Premier League leaders do not anticipate the 28-year-old being ruled out for a long period of time and would expect him to return to training in around two weeks, potentially ruling him out of the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on November 21 and the Champions League tie in Porto four days later. Whether Cole would be ready to return for the eagerly awaited clash with Arsenal, a meeting of the division's current top two, at the Emirates on November 29 remains to be seen.

So with the international break, it looks like he's out for the Wolves game but could be back for Arsenal, which would put him at missing two games at max. At the moment I'm leaning towards keeping him - I'd definitely want to buy him back (which would be more expensive). It's a squad game ;)

Yeah I think I might hold onto him. I'll see what the prognosis is after the internationals!

    Thank you my good people!

    First team post, any suggestions?

    Sorenson

    Scharner Dunne Zayatte

    Fabregas(c) O'Hara Lampard Gerrard

    Drogba RVP

I think it may be a bit star heavy. 3 at the back because of the lack of clean sheets. Scharners in there since he plays in midfield but for some reason is down as a defender.

How much does that team cost?

    Drogba injured?

The article on Sky Sports says he could join up with the Ivory Coast squad for the game against Germany next week.

Given you have managed to get Fabregas, Lampard, Gerrard, Drogba and RVP, which is pretty impressive, I would guess that your bench isn't up to much. As such my main concern is that you might get badly hit by injuries.

Also while O'Hara is in great form the last couple of weeks (have him myself), I would be wary of him keeping up that form, especially in tougher fixtures and/or away from Fratton Park. There's also the the fact that he is on loan at Portsmouth and will be going back to Spurs in January (not 100% on this)

Also while Scharner might be misplaced I'd be doubtful of his value - I don't have much faith in Wigan's defence and Scharner hasn't been going great so far this season.

Maybe sacrifice one of the big names - Gerrard looks the obvious candidate ; downgrade to a cheaper midfielder and use the funds to upgrade in all other areas and on the bench. Still pretty neat to have so many big names in there.

Don't foreget Hull City, Everton, Fulham and Blackburn are playing twice in the next gameweek. If you are using your wild card to put that team together I would replace your value players (Sorenson, Scharner, Dunne and O'Hara) with players who are playing twice.

Other than that I think that it is a fantastic team and is very similiar to my own:

    Friedel

    Distin (x2) Hughes (x2) Dunne Zayatte (x2) Chimbonda (x2)

Fabregas Hunt (x2) Lampard Gerrard (C)

    RVP

    Bench:
    Sorenson
    Cohen
    Bent
    Jerome

    From the BBC:
2212: Now then, I cannot confirm this, repeat, cannot confirm this but according to MFBorman on Twitter, Dutch TV are reporting that Robin van Persie will be out for two to three months with torn ankle ligaments.

He was stretchered off against Italy tonight. Really hope he's not set for a long lay-off as he's been super for me.

Last week I transferred in Lampard and Benayoun, great decision that was. Already got rid of Yossi, but I have van Persie too. Dunno what to do now, am tempted to get Eduardo in on the cheap as he should be leading the line for Arsenal from now on.
