I'm looking to find a new dentist/ orthodontist to do some work for me in Cork. Truth be told, I've neglected my teeth for quite a while but it's time to turn it around.

There's a place very closeby that seems to offer the complete range of services I need. Being closeby isn't a good enough reason to trust they'll do a good job of course.

What are the issues? What are the questions I need to be asking? How do I make sure they're going to be suitable without having to "suck it and see" as it were?

    Many thanks

dude, you're in cork. try the dental hospital. if you feel that you need a lot of work done then you could get it done by a student. it'll take a while but students need to pass so it'll be done right. there's some research to say that students' success rate in some areas is as good as specialists.
also, they'll have consultants demonstrating to them at some stage, so you'll be in great hands.
plus, if you really do need a lot of work done, you'd be a God send to a student who won't need to get the right patients to get their quota done on a high number of patients who only need a bit done each.

erm... not saying that a fully qualified dentist won't do it right, but don't be put off by the fact that they're just students!
