Anyone recommend a good guitar repair guy?

Hey, I've got a full acoustic guitar and I wanna install a pickup on it and was wondering if any of ye know any good guy who could do it for me in a reasonably quick time...?

I've like got a little small gig like thing coming up in a couple of weeks and it'ld be cool if I could have it ready by then and while at it he could also maybe fix the setup of it as I feel it's got a slightly higher action than my likes and it buzzes a bit...

Anyway, thanks if you know anyone you can recommend.

There are 2 guys I would to talk to. Pretty sure their details are in the resources sticky.

Derek Nelson - Great job but can take time
Eugene Mcloughlan (aka the guitar workshop) - Quicker then Derek and does a good job

The other option is something like this which requires no fitting at all really. THe pickup sits across the soundhole and uses a rubber type material to grip in place rather then usisng screws, they sound great too.

The third option is that a lot of shops that sell acoustic pickups will fit them for you too, some will do it free of charge.

Its an under saddle pick up I'm looking at. To be precise the D-Tar wavelength. I don't have a very expensive guitar, its just a cheap 350eur Ibanez one but I've had it for a while and it sounds quite good to be (not as good as a Gibson or Taylor obviously though!) . So you think it'ld be worth it rigging the guitar with a fairly expensive pick up?

I always say if you like it it doesnt matter how much you spent its the sound that your looking for.

Hes in Meath but might be able to pick it up in Dublin! He does unbelievable work and as he says on his website he will beat a quote from any other repair shop by 20%!! You wont find better than that! He builds guitars too so he really knows what hes talking about!
