GHD Curls - Secret for them to stay in?

    Today I mastered how to do the GHD curl (yay :pac:) they looked lovely for all of ten mins then they just look like a limp mess :(

    I used plenty of hairspray and my hair wasn't freshly washed (last washed last night) but they didnt stay :(

    anyone any tips?

    When you section the hair to do the curls spray with hairspray before you curl and after you finish the section, then when you are finished it all give it a nice long spray - from a distance!

    OP is your hair layered or one length?

    I tried that with the hairpray, but it made my hair look crap - all the other curls were curly and shiny and the sprayed bit was dull and frazzled looking. :confused:

    Im currelty growing out layers, had a good cut there the other day, so there isnt *that* may left. The part thats layered I tied up in a loose half up/half down way that looked OK (with side fringe) - the layered curls looked horrible!!

    do them extremely tight to begin with, and use elnet hairspray, a LOT! they will loosen but al least if they are very tight they will still look good. did you try maybe mousing your hair before you a start or putting hairspray in before? works best if your hair is a little greasy too, i still find if i do them the next day, my hair is still too fresh, but it differs for everyone.
