for me it has to be the word "maouldy". (to discribe ugly women) fairly commen around here, dont know where it came from..

any weird ones where ur from?

Also, Maouldy also describes someones state of inebriation.

like is said mainly in limerick, i believe the term you are looking for is boyyye.. :cool:

We don't say fair!!!

We do say "fierce" though where a Deise-onian (what is the word for a Waterford person btw???) would say fair.

One of my favourite slang terms is the word that is apparently used on the north-side of Cork for a sausage. They supposedly call it a "widow's memory"!!!!

I found it in the Cork dictionary, but have yet to find someone who actually uses it. But still, it's fierce (read "fair" if you wish :rolleyes:) funny. Imagine asking for a battered sausage!

Mouldy is one I have heard of which is what we use to describe bread as being gone off.
