Anyone have an old set of rabbit ears?

    Does anyone have a spare set of rabbit ears or similar antenna that plugs into a TV (coaxial) connection by any chance?

    I need an antenna for my radio and I just thought I'd check if anyone has an old antenna they're not using before I go out and buy one *

    lol thanks. You have captured my current setup in a nutshell. It's pretty rubbish to be honest which is why I'm looking for a proper antenna

    The coat hanger will be quite tasteful, and probably more aestetic than the rabbit ears sold by the lokes of Maplin and Argos, plus a lot less expensive, like free.

    Have you thought about researching making something yourself?

    eg. http://uhfhdtvantenna.blogspot.com/

    You'll find lots of examples online, and nearly all the components you need could probably be found in your shed or in a skip.

    Maplins do, but they require payment for such an item.:o
    Good news is they have a UHF one for €11.99.
    I bought that one. It is now on top of my tv picking up the 4 digital channels plus the test card.:)

    I use a pair of rabbits ears bought in the €2 shop for, eh, €2. Works perfectly.
