If I an obscene amount of cash, I would buy the Hirst butterfly bike. I'd fit a triple on it, plus spds.

Then I would come out on boards spins and p1ss ye all off by wearing black socks (just like Lance).

I would also buy the Sheppard Fairey bike as a winter trainer.

I think they are estimating $100k+ for eack bike. Of course if you can afford one, I am sure you will not be too bothered about the import duty and VAT (you could, of course, ride it through the mud and rain in Central Park to make it a bit grubby before bringing it over to Ireland, claiming it's the road bike you had in the bike box on the flight out to NY:))

surely it doesnt count for 2nd hand (fairly easy to prove - heres a pic of lance riding it at the tdf mr customs person )

Makes no difference whatsoever, you still have to pay VAT and duty.
