Double-hung sash window or Horizontal sliding sash window?

Hi all, Thought this would be the best place to go for advice. Just putting the finishing touches to my house, and I'm stumped about the windows. I'm simply torn between the types mentioned in the topic title. I'd appreciate any info. Cheers.

Don't go with Windows ME as your house will fall apart,

Funny but not for this forum (Windows Operating System) so locking
