    I often wondered, by the script writers have to stick with the same kind of people in the village the whole time. Why does everyone that goes to Church have to be Church of England, why is there no non nationals or people from the other british countries and the Republic of Ireland. Why is there no propper disabled character.

    I havent seen Emmerdale in a good while now, so she could be gone but Lizzie Lakely, the actress playing her is blind

    I know the person who mean, and i know in real life the actress is Blind as is the character. The Character she plays is hardly normal. What i would like to see is an honest to good character. Chris Tate who was rendered disabled after the plane crash was the last disabled character in the programme and he could haldly be discribed as normal either.
