    I know the severed hand saga alright.. I thought that the red brick looked a bit like the Sheil in Ballyshannon (and because of the photo of the Old Barracks you posted way back, I thought you could be from that neck of the woods :))

    nah, I have neither Donegal nor Irish roots, that I know of. Happiest childhood holidays were in Donegal, but.
    Now I am going to find some really hard pics, of bog, moor and water to mystify y'all.

    I know there has been some effort to do this place up... but it would be a great tourist amenity if it was refurbished properly.
    It really could be a fabuolous attraction, all the locals seem to think so too however there seems to be some problem with the owner. The council should put a compulsory purchase order on it as it played a huge part in the history of Donegal.
