North_West_Art , No.3 is ballydivit school outside donegal town

Its like it, but its not Ballydevitt. All these buildings are within a few miles of each other

its been a while since Ive put any photos up, so heres a few shots to pass an hour on this dark November evening... Building 2 and 5 used to be pubs... no. 5 up until a few years ago. Sorry about the poor quality of light in no. 5

Is No.4 the big house on the left on as you leave Convoy on the Stranorlar road?

    correct, Boytons estate

If i am correct that Was Mountbattons ancestral home a guy from Dublin bought it a while back and wanted to turn it in to a hostel

It was Montgomery's and Boyton's home, General Montgomerys ancestors... so in the same ball park as Mountbatten. It was bought in the 90's and has been done up, and as far as I know the organic gardens are open to the public (but check if your planning on going)

the photos are all of the Convoy area as Muffler, Senna and Sesswhat already know.
    1. Convoy Woollen Mill
    2. The abandoned pub at Roosky (Muffler will fill us in on the name)
    3. Deralict school at Roosky, just up the road from the pub in no.2
    4. Boytons estate on the Broad Road, Convoy
    5. I used to know this place a s Sally's pub, also on the Broad Road, but closer to Kilross junction

The derelict pub at Rooskey (Convoy - Killygordon road) was known as McLaughlins. That family owned it for a long time - long before I was big enough to get my mouth round the neck of a bottle :D. It was subsequently bought by a John McVeigh about 30 years ago but was closed about 15 years ago or more. Its in bad shape now obviously. Just for the record the same guy owns the old school in pic #3.

Pic #5 was indeed Sallys or Maguires. She ran the pub for a long time until it was bought about 15 years ago approx. The present owner kept it going up to about 2 or 3 years ago but closed it and converted it back to a house.

The temple Arch, Horn head. The fact that the image is labeled is a bit of a giveaway!

    Hello Andyc09lad

The boardies on the Donegal Photo Game take no prisoners and we will do just about anything to solve the image posted. The fact that the link gave the answer away just made it a bit easy.

Don't let any of the comments above put you off, you just have to learn to be a bit more devious careful with the way you present the image, links to where the image is stored etc., etc.

Now get to work and find another image to keep us going....
