    Morning all

I am planning to try and sell my macbook, however a problem looms over it.

I had messed about with getting windows on the mac in the early stages and long story short when I try and use the Mac discs to erase everything to "factory condition" if you like, I am still left with the other stupid partition which I don't want their if I am to try and sell the macbook.

Any ideas to help me get around this would be hugely appreciated as I can't figure it out.

    Thanks
    John

    Hi John

Start of the mac discs provided, when you get to the install os x window, go up under the utilities menu and launch disc utility, you will see both partitions there and also the brand of disc (ie seagate, hitachi etc), unmount both partitions then go to the erase tab/partition tab, select one partition, then options GUID is the one you pick, then format with the name Macintosh HD, let me know how you get on.

If Boot Camp was installed then you can use the Boot Camp Assistant to remove the partition.

    Boot camp assistant didnt work.

But Nialler your method did, I managed to get of the Untitled Partition but it wasnt simple, for some reason I needed to install the OS afterwards to get it in order. but its back to normality now..thanks a million for your help!

Although you clear one and another problem rears its ugly head.

Have you tried booting in safe mode (on windows) and see how you get on from there?

A problem there. As a last resort I done a system reset and basically it can't complete it's reset cycle ie not booting vista.
