I may be breaking forum rules here but it's got be said, hentai is very weird. i've a few scenes from various movies and there all weird, i mean sex with monsters, voyuerism and other things that seem a bit pervyand the weirdest of all, 3 naked vampiresess sucking the blood from an erect penis. Very weird stuff.

Well, there are some hentais that is really sick. Very Very Hardcore.
But, some stuff you see real people doing it, so it is not just the japaneses that have a weird taste when comes about sex.

About the sex in japan, they've serious problem. About 30% of the japaneses around 30s are virgin = P
The goverment is doing some kind of advertising to encourage the japaneses. So if they don't do sex, they have a huuge amount of hentai to fool around

There are issues with showing a penis in Japanese porn. Therefore they get around it with tenticles.

It depends, there is a lot of hentais that doesn't have a restriction about penis and vagina. I think they put that when it showed at a televison channel.

It was started (Well, lets just say rebooted as it was fairly prevelant in old Japanese prints..just google 'The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife' for example!) by the creators of Urotukidoji to get around censorship laws. So says the creator of that series anyway.

However the laws may have relaxed a bit since then. So any such tenticle related movies are made now are simply for the purpose of being tenticle movies. As it kinda caught on after Urotsukidoji!
