When I was reading it I was thinking "Wow that mother must be an absolute idiot" but after seeing the video I don't really blame her. She only looked around for a second and there was an extreme slant on the platform, the buggy rolled very quickly. It's a scary video alright, even though you know that the kid is ok.

Shes damn lucky that wasn't an express.

Imagine telling him that story when he grows up. "One day we were waiting for a train. Mommy had to pull up her kackeroos and well, you got hit by a train. Oopsies!"

I didn't ask to buck incredible odds in a potentially fatal rail accident, did I?

    /flounces off to bedroom.

30 years from now I know I'm going to utter the sentence:

"Hey you know that Cult that just committed mass suicide last week, well it's leader, the guy who thought he was the next messiah or Megatron or something, well remember that baby that survived being run over by a train... same person man, same person"

Also, not to wear high heels.... if you watch the video on the article link you can see her slip when she lunges to grab the buggy, might have caught it if she hadn't almost snotted herself.

"So what you're telling me Mom, is that I am invincible!" *proceeds to run through the storyline of Unbreakable.

I thought so as well, the pram may have been a bit dodgy too but should they not be slanted the other way to prevent anything rolling onto the tracks ?

This video was incredibly easy for me to watch.

    Lately I've been so weird.
That didn't affect me at all.

Ok, If I was there, it probably would but just watching it there... It's some one I don't know and the baby didn't die.

I can see why people would be disturbed but well... Life has left me hardened when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I'll watch alot of stuff on the internet, but even though i know that kid survives, i couldn't watch that. The thought of it even happening gives me chills.

Yahoo have actually posted the Video on their main page.

Disturbing call from the Editor it must be said.

It's been shown on every news bulletin here in Australia today and nobody has really looked for it to be removed.

I personally don't see how it's a disturbing call from the editor considering the outcome. The kid only got a bump on the head so all's well that ends well. If he had died then fair enough but I don't see how it's disturbing in the slightest.

Man I can imagine few scarier things than that...... That mother will be in therapy for the rest of her life ! The kid probably won't give a sh*t

But when s/he grows up, that'd be some story to tell !

Any luck he had in surviving has got to be a bit canceled out by the bad luck he had in landing in front of a train?!

Thank God the mother didnt jump or fall down in front of the train too. She nearly got hit by it but in the spur of the moment she could easily have just jumped down too in some vain attempt to save her child.

Jebus that was scary to watch, and thank god the kid's ok...but after watching it... I couldn't help but think of the Crunchy Nut ad with the baby in the trolley :P

if i was the kid i'd disown my mother for being so effin stupid, its nearly as bad as when you see mothers waiting to cross the road push their buggy out onto the road while the mother waits up on the path
Railway platforms aren't meant to have slopes in them - the platform was recently partly resurfaced.
    seamus wrote: »
It's not a shocking or graphic video really, though the poor mother is clearly devastated as soon as the train arrives. When it stops, she doesn't even run to the front until everyone else does (perhaps the child can be heard crying).
Shes shaking and obviously freaking out. Its quite possible she didn't know whether the train ran over the pram or deflected it.

Jesus. Just watched the video there. Horrifying to think what could've happened. So so lucky to have survived.
