quick q on seat ibiza

just wondering what year vw started putting their parts in seats or have they always?Looking at an ibiza to buy soon, have been driving vw all the time and find them reliant. This would be a good selling point for me if i knew vw parts were in it. thanks, and sorry if that seemed like a stoopid questions.

The mid 90's model Ibiza shared parts with the Polo.

This is very easy to spot - just pop the bonnet and take a look at a few parts.

BTW, I had a '96 at one stage which had VW parts.
