Recommend Car (1.2) Safe/Reliable £2000 Sterling

Hi. My girlfriends sister is looking for a a safe reliable 1.2 car for around the £2000 sterling mark. She is living in Aberdeen. Anyone got any recommendations. I was thinking of maybe the polo or clio. Anyone better sugestions. many thanks.

Fiesta would be good. If she'll stretch the engine size a bit a Focus

Yaris 1.0L has 68bhp and is lovely to drive. Should get a clean one for that money 99 reg or so with MOT.
