Flashpoint is essentially impossible on an old-fashioned TV.

I've been shooting a tiny grey splodge for a few seconds; is it an enemy, a hedge, a rock, or a piece of fluff stuck to the screen? I have absolutely no way of knowing.

Aha! Of course. It was a giant robotic Chairman Mao all along.

Did you not see the young lady sucking on a lollypop? Wearing a short skirt? Are you blind?

Your AK obsession has got to stop.

Just a heads up lads - specially downgraded to 1 joule, this is coming soon to Eirsoft. Taking pre-orders now...special low price of $400 million. Obviously its a little expensive for your average airsofter, but we're thinking this would be a nice addition to any sites out there that want some artillery effects.

    Blah.

Not enjoying Dragon Rising at all. Not simmy enough to be rewarding and not gamey enough to be fun.

And the frustration of having such a vast world to play in, without even the option to play how I want, is just too much. Why bother giving me whatever hundred KMs to run around in if you aren't going to let me loose in it? Trade in.

Same here, big let down:(, putting DR and ODST up against Drake's Fortune 2 this Friday.

I've decided, next time I pay full price for a game that's blatantly made with only online-play in mind, I'm going to find every member of the development team and wedge a disc in them.

It's not that freaking difficult. In the case of Dragon Rising, literally all it would have taken to give it a bit of single player value is a weapon-select or some sort of bot match option. I don't need a whole level creator, and I know that's not always feasible, but it's a ridiculous waste of time for somebody to spend a bazillion hours mapping hundreds of miles of terrain, and to then only let me play around in it during strictly specified A-to-B missions with time limits.

    Argh.

If he's not careful, he'll get him kicked out of the forces altogether. Don't Ask/ Don't Tell, and what have you.

I think it's ok, just ok though. The first one is one of my favourite games of all time, this one, it's just meh! Doesn't even come close to how they hyped it up. Ultra realism my hole, still yet to play it co-op. If the co-op is any good I might hold on to it, if not then I'll get as many achievments as I can and trade it in.

Never understood this achievements lark, they aren't achievements, they are crack cocaine for gamers to make them buy more games (crack).

I have never given a damn about "achievements" and I'm sure I've enjoyed my games all the more for it. My favourite game fallout 3, I've played that for like 300-400 hours for the craic, if I got tony pro skate boarder IX I'm sure I'd have cleared it and gotten its achievements in a tenth of that time.

Saw this on the games forum http://www.borderlandsthegame.com/, looks like my cup of tea if they have maintained worthwhile depth after the shooting element, and the random generated items could be fun.

Yep that's pretty much it, achievments are track marks for game addicts.

I dont like the single player that much but when your playing co op i think its much better, me and a mate were attacking a barn type thing and i had my men firing on them while i crawled up and stabbed the machine gunner, my mate was looking through his sniper scope and was laughing for ages :D
