    The thread is about Dunphy.
I asked for it to be kept on topic re Dunphy, but no football discussion.

I know well who he is, but discussing football belongs in the correct forum.

This thread has an hour's life left in it now.

By the way mink_man, questioning a moderators decision on thread will result in a ban.

in my opinion, my post was an opinion....

With a question mark at the end of it, which makes it you questioning my decision as a moderator of AHs.

Stay on topic or I will ban you.

A good Air Guitarist....not a GREAT Air Guitarist

He's just not dynamic enough with the air guitar in his grasp. You need someone pulling the strings in these positions Bill!

Dunphy is an attention whoring gob****e. Remember when the tool started crying on the late late trying to be champion of the working man. How much are you are earning again Eamo?

He was presumably trying to articulate the fact that Given had his worst performance in ages, the defence was crap, the midfield gave no service to Keane, and Andy Reid might have done that.

He did it in his own inimitable way :P But, as "unique" as his way of making a point is, he's still usually on the button.

i'll never forget the night lpool were 1-0 down at half time at home to olypiakos in 2005,they needed to score 3 goals in the 2nd half to qualify for the knockout stages.the bould billo asks eamo what chance have lpool got.
his response,"no chance bill." he had a big grin on his face too when he was saying it....:D

He just says what keeps him in the papers usually controversial.

He's Irelands angryman that everyone loves to hate.

Dunphy is right but people always settle for mediocre standards in this country and when you dare to aim high people just shoot you down.

that's all very well, but going out and trying to please the soccer purists with the limited team we have would definitely mean not getting to the World Cup next year. that is not defeatist, it's realistic.
... and Eamon is wrong, anyday you draw with the world champions is nothing to be ashamed about.

Eamon is good enterainment, but i stopped taking him seriously as a soccer analyst years ago.

Woop dee ****ing doo. Got a draw against the World Champions of 3 years ago. The on field performance was still not the great triumph some people are talking about. Dunphy was right in what he said.

Spot on, let's sugar coat the fact that we were absolutely shit and couldn't keep hold of the ball for 90 minutes.

Dunphy may be OTT but he's dead right.
