getting rid of moss

    i dont have a huge problem with moss only a bit in the spring around the first few cuts. but what i saw in cit yesterday was a man spreading sand on the grass. i am just wondering if i spread sand on my lawn will i get moss free grass next year and will it be nice and green

    This will have been lawn sand, which is a weedkiller, rather than any common or garden sand. It is iron sulphate and ammonium sulphate mixed with sand and needs to be carefully applied or it can damage the lawn.
