what should i wear for orienteering????

hi people. ive recently taken up orienteering after many years and i would like to buy some clothes to suit for orienteering . what should i buy? what make? also footwear. thanks.

I would usually wear like old hiking clothes so it doesnt matter if they get trashed. Usually a pair of trainers does the job too. I see a lot of people wearing running tights and that too. Gaiters aren't a bad idea either.
