    Saw this the other day, it -is- pretty cool. Afaik its just some design students mockup though, so it's unlikely to see the light of day. If nothing else because there are no consumables , where's the margin on that !

    wasn't that method / mechanism the way newspaper prints of old used to be done - not punched but with printed dots which when combined went to make up the image. Such dots were visible to the human eye up close so i'm guessing way less than the 300dpi things that we regularly talk about on these forums.

    back to the future perhaps.

    this site does something similar to that punch thing... upload the image and it sends up a pdf to print out of the image!!

    Yeah, I've been using rasterbator for as long as I can remember....
    Very good programme, I have a 6x6 foot pic in my house from it
