do 2.5 and 3.5 sata drives have same connector?

Hi lads I got a 3.5 hdd caddy which I used to back up my laptop drive, can I buy a 3.5 sata drive and hook it up to this? I am sure I can but want to check here first. basically have the 2.5" and 3.5" hdds all the same interface.

yes if they are both sata they will have the same connectors
