UPC HD box Spec

Has anyone got a link to a spec and/or review for the new UPC HD box?

Who makes it? ... I saw a thread here talking about Cisco, but I thought it was Pace. They seem to be using a Philips box in Netherlands, but it looks different to the one on their Irish site...

One other point - I have the SD DVR ... if I upgrade I'm guessing I'll lose all my stored content ... I doubt they can transfer, or can they?

Mine's certainly a Cisco. Not certain of the model number, couldn't find it on Cisco's site; but it's probably on the box somewhere. Will take a peek when I get home.

It's customised, so the only outputs are HDMI, Scart and optical audio out.

Getting the HD this week does the HD box

Is that the HD box ?? that's not the one on
the Upc Site

its similar but not it... the smartcard interface is around the back... the number of ports and their position are different. I'd pretty much say its a rough guide but I wouldnt take it as a bible to whats in the UPC version.

Yes, they do give you a HDMI cable with it.

It may not be exactly the box, but it's the same make/model as they provided to me, with some changes to the hardware (inputs, outputs, etc).

It's very similar, but not identical. The UPC box has the card at the back, doesn't have the USB port on front, and the display looks slightly different.

It also has analogue audio out.

Not that it is any of your busines but -
Because I want HD ... I live in an apartment ... and therefore my choice of service probviders is 1 - UPC ....
