Most/Least Mentally Challenging Jobs

Inspired by a Similar thread in AH.

So what are they and why?

Would be interesting to get a Broad overview across a number of different areas

For me :

Least: A draw between Supermarket self stacking - like a big game of tetris that never ends(Not without it's charms though- a lot to besaid for being able to switch your Brain off) and Cold Calling Sales - Basically knew the script off by heart and repeated it about a hundred times a day.

Most: IT Support - Constantly challenged in a large corporation with tonnes of every changing technology and changing user needs. Brain was always on

Blow jobs need you to use your head a fair bit. Hand jobs not so much.

I thought both of your examples were in the least challenging section and you were being sarcastic. Guess not.

Only ever worked as a waiter....

It was a mix of both really,
Mostly routine order taking, going to the kitchen, doing drinks etc....
Mind numbingly boring when its quiet.

When its new years eve etc, its like hell on earth, you have atleast 20 things running through your head and your running around in a hot loud room trying to work through everything while still being given new tasks.

Worked as a shelf stacker as a young wan, went back to it part time to get myself thru my masters..couldn't hack it. No offence to anyone who does it but I got so depressed...

Current job is pretty challenging I have to say, palliative and bereavement area...go knows the stuff you come up against everyday...

Was at one time the most stressful job, and probably still is.:eek:

For me the least would have to be working on the checkouts in Dunnes.

The most is my current one: Working in a day/respite centre for the Alzheimers Soceity. Always have to have the brain turned on, but I love it though

Least- Dog Walker

Most- A solider in a warzone. Have to be alert and switched on as well as being ready for anything the enemy might throw at you. As well as that, having to deal with all the trauma and stress that occurs in a warzone cannot be good for the brain.
