UPC upgrade

    Hi about 3 weeks ago I got a letter from UPC will saying that that they are upgrading the cables on my road and that I will be able to get broadband and hdtv soon. the letter states that they be starting within the next 2 weeks but there is no sign of them on my road (stand road) :rolleyes::(

    I agree, i mean they are a week late in starting? Have you ever tried getting planning permission? Its a pain, imagine needing to do something similar for an entire area of dublin! ... they may have to apply for the same from the council... private land owners permission is also needed.... if its road works they may need to work around traffic flow restrictions in place.... equipment needed may be late from suppliers....a sticky resident my be holding up works... anything could be the problem.

    Sierra, the contractors who often work on behalf of UPC have been doing some sort of road works on Strand Road in the past week or two so the upgrade has begun. You shouldn't have to wait that much longer.
