    Hi All,
Anyone else have some problems with the 405? I've had a few issues (usually at training) with the stop/start not working if doing laps for example. the watch seems to freeze and won't respond at all which is really annoying (obviously). After a mintue or two (and a bit of random button pressing!) it works 'fine' again. Strange thing is that it almost never happens if i'm just doing a long run.

Never had those issues, mine are mainly based around the gps sometimes taking about 5 minutes to get a lock while i'm standing around feeling like an eejit staring at it!
Have you tried updating the firmware?

You're not alone with the gps although (and you prob know this) taking the watch off and leaving it stationary for a bit maybe while strecthing usually eliminates this prob for me.
I haven't updated the firmware since i bought it last Jan. I'm assuming this is done by downloading updates and then connecting the watch...manual time for me then? Thx

this happened to me today. A complete curse. the same happened to me last week on a long slow run. One of the laps is down as a 9:30 mile as I stopped for a drink and a leak. then as I kicked off again the thing stopped!

I was considering a trip to aldi to pick up a €20 HRM job.

I have had the same experience with the 405, but only when it has been raining. The thing gets very upset and refuses to cooperate when it gets wet:mad: .In the dry I have had no issues.

I have updated the firmware and it gets a satellite lock usually in less than a minute, so I don't feel too conspicuous standing around staring at my wrist as the black bar moves along.

^ are you locking the bezel before heading out for a run in the rain?

I just always lock the bezel before heading out on a run to save any problems. Just hold the lap and start/ stop button to lock and unlock it.
