Laptop for the Girlfriend... Yay or Nay?

So the missus wants a laptop and was going to put in an order for this... Price comes to 588 including shipping. Basically she just wants it for basic enough use, web surfing, skype, word processing etc. Thing is for an extra 150 quid she could get a faster processor -P7350 (2.0 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 Cache), twice the hard drive and 4gb of RAM. If it was for myself I'd be inclined to upgrade but not sure whether she needs the extra processing power...
