Importing and registering a Cat C write-off

Hi all,

I'm thinking about going to view a Cat C write off VW multivan in the UK.
The company appears to be reputable as they have a proper premises, a decent website and loads of cars and motorbikes for sale. They specialise in Insurance write offs. From the photos, it looks like it was repaired very well or maybe had very little damage.

If I register it in Ireland, will the fact that it was a Category C write off affect anything? Will it even be recorded on the irish log book that it was a write-off?

Will Irish insurance comanies ask if it has ever been written off?
