Brand new boxed HP Colour Laserjet CP1217 for €69.97 - PC World Jervis St, Dublin. Comes with 4 x cartridges.
    Black (CB540A), Cyan (CB541A), Yellow (CB542A), Magenta (CB543A).

I'm unsure how full the cartridges that are supplied with the printer are.
The replacement toners are expensive ie: €60-€65 each (online from eg: Elara etc) or €99 for the black alone in PC World.

Maybe some company could refill them cheap - I'm afraid I'm not in the know.

All we need are dealextreme.com to start supplying laser toner refill kits at a cheap price.

Is this in any of the other PC worlds?

Cheaper toners their.. U can get kits online too but n idea what they're like. Isn't a bad deal, might pick one up tomorrow for the folks... Its not a bad spec for the price n it gets some good reviews..

As for the supplied toner, HP used to give full tonners away with printers, don't think they do it anymore... We used to buy new printers in work cause it was cheaper to get a printer with the toners than to buy the toners seperatly... We just sold of the printers after we took the toner out

I don't know about this printer but on another hp laserjet the included toners only did around 20% of the pages the proper toners did.

saw the same deal and was figuring out if it was worth it. I'm in the market for a printer but was aiming for one with a cat5e connection. Have the bits to connect it up to a Linksys NSLU but don't know if it's worth the effort.

For what it's worth, they had 6 left in Jervis at 6pm last night, and 1-2 in dundalk and sligo (though the sales person suggested they might be the display model - i.e. you can probably get a good deal). ;)

according to the figures on inkmaestro website you're looking at 2c per page (b/w) and 10c per page (colour) for ongoing printing costs. Not sure how that matches up for other printers...

From the HP site they are Introductory cartridges and are included in the printer.
