Hi All, im a regular looker on'er to this but had to register to post!. Was in Wexford yesterday and spotted this Toyota Landcruiser (friend of mine says its a (BJ40) model. Didnt want to take pics of the inside but had a look and its was in factory condition.
I have not seen one of these in years..would love one, the coolest classic I have seen in a long time, it must be early 1980's?
What do my new fellow new members think?

I can just about make out the reg plate in the second pic (why do ppl blank out plates anyway?!) and it seems to be '17** Z*' i.e. original Irish reg.

Have a pic here of another Irish reg FJ40 at Fingal a few years ago.. plus a US spec edition.....nice jeeps!

They are super cool jeeps, there's a 1980 one for sale in IVS this months, white, Jap import

I've seen the PZG one before, it may be an ex-Garda one.

That blue one here looks o have been snapped at St.Helens beach, you can see the windmills on Carnesore oint behind. It looks lovely !

    I WANT ONE !

    Anyone ever drive one?

I used to drive a 4 litre petrol lwb for towing. Very basic but lots more power and "comfort" that the 109 landrovers we had. You would want a petrol tanker running behind you to keep it going, 8 mpg springs to mind.
