    hi all.
if i throw out the sky box can i buy a freesat box for bbc etc and simply plug it into the same cable sky was. scan for channels and away i go....

is there some complication that it must be bought in england etc...

    i'm n munster.

just printed off previous post on tuning in existing sky box so if that goes well do i need to even bother with freesat box.

    thanks

eh... no need to throw out the sky box and buy a freesat box, you can use your sky box as a freesat box - just cancel your membership with sky and remove the card from the box.... and bang - you've freesat!

FreeSat really is the EPG (7 day info ect) that you get on the freeSat boxes.

They are all FTA channels which have been available before FreeSat was around.

what make? is it a grundig?
maybe the capacitors on the power supply are faulty.
or of course the dish could need fine adjustment?
can you try the box on another feed at a 'mates'??
