Theres a fair few DB drivers who will break lights on o'connell street regularly. Be interesting to see what was the cause of this.

I would like to thank dublin bus for putting their emergency plan of immediately switching most of their buses to "As seirbhis" and thus preventing passenger being involved in any other collisions

My other half was waiting on the 16 bus in O'Connell Street, she took some photos on her mobile which I will post later.

    Latest from RTE News

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2009/0916/luas.html?RTEMAILID

It was a number 16 Double decker Dublin Bus, she said it appeared if the bus entered the yellow box as the Luas tram was approching.

Would not like to be the Dublin Bus driver in this case, the amount of damage and injuries to the 21 people.

    Yes.
That and the track marks all over his arms and neck, the suspicious white powder residue in his left nostril and the fact that I sold him 500 Euro worth of Crack.

    Now away with ye..
Not the thread for that argument.

Aye, ive often thought that. Is there a difference in the accent of a person from Dolphins Barn and Darndale?

Nope. It's impossible to tell where about someones accent what part of Dublin they're from. Malahide or Dun Laoghaire, Clondalkin or Blanchardstown...

    back on topic:

There was a guy sitting on the luas a good hour after the accident. He was just sitting down on one of the seats and there were 2 paramedics/gardi/firemen talking to him. Don't know what he was still doing on it.

There is an unconfirmed report that the Luas driver went through the window of his cabin and into the bus. The driver had to be cut out of the wreckage by members of Dublin Fire Brigade and has been taken to hospital.

Don't say that, Dublin bus will fine him for not paying the fare.

I saw Christie Dignam talk about some of the stories of his own death and how elaborate they became including somebody saying they saw him being carried out on the stretcher and the sheet came off.
