Thinking of moving to Vodafone 7mb package from Eircom

    Hi, as the title says thinking of moving to vodafone 7mb package. Im around 3km from the exchange as these are my stats I know they are quite poor

    I have my other devices plugged into any phone line in the house.

    Downstream Upstream Max Allowed Speed (kbps) 3072 384 SN Margin (dB) 11.70 15.00 Line Attenuation (dB) 53.00 31.50 CRC Errors 129 5

    I would say looking at the Line Attenuation you wont be able to get any quicker then what you are currently on with Eircom which is 3MB unless your exchange has the option of LLU and even at that it might not be any quicker.

    No there is no LLU as far as I know in Rush looks like I'm stuck with it so. It never drops a connection or anything pings are decent enough as well

    In fairness your line stats on the Router and stats above are good so the question is what are your're advantages for moving ;)

    Would love to have 7mb to be honest and its also a good bit cheaper.

    If you signed up for that its unlikely your Router would even synch at that speed. I think your best bet is to wait for LLU to be come available in your area. The other option would be try it with Eircom and within a few days you would notice by checking your line stats and also if the connection is dropping or if you have high pings etc. Just a thought.
