Most Hypocritical Thing You've Ever Heard?

I got chatted up by Andrew Strong one night a couple weeks ago (yes, yer man from the Commitments). He told me he owned three houses in the South of France and was used to living the "rock n' roll lifestyle.."

..then proceeded to offer me a line of Charge.

Perhaps not the most hypocritical thing I've ever heard, but it certainly gave me a chuckle later on.

So what's the most hypocritical thing anyone's said to you?

*note: for those not in the "know," Charge is the legal hemp shop equivalent of cocaine, which is easy enough to get in this country, and on top of that, does pretty much fúck all..

Precisely! I thought it was hilarious that he was going on about being such a big rockstar and bigging himself up, just to show he's not even able to afford a bag of coke.

..not that I would've taken any anyway, it's not really my thing.

I've a mate that's a walking hypocrit. He claims to be socialist and anti capitalist and turns up for all these marches and demonstrations and wears the anti mcdonalds and starbucks t shirts etc. But yet he practically lives in mcdonalds, wears brand name clothes only and would almost get pissed off if you ask him for a loan of 20 cent for the bus.

I worked in a mobile phone call centre, got a call once off a woman that was pissed she couldnt send a group text due to poor coverage, the text she was trying to send was being sent to a group organising a protest against the phone mast being put up in the town to give better coverage, you could hear my facepalm down the phone line...

Because it was preceded by such over-the-top boasting. It's as rock n' roll as offering her sherbert.

Out of curiosity, I had a look at what Andy was releasing these days. Much to my amusement, these ads were embedded in the page:

Ads by Google (turn off ads)

    Easy Way To Quit Cocaine
Quick, Easy, Affordable, Effective, Safe, Guaranteed. Birmingham.
    www.lifeprinciples.com

    Truth About Cocaine
Why is it addictive? What happens to chronic users? Get the facts.
    DrugFreeWorld.org

Presumably because the keywords 'Andrew Strong' & 'cocaine' were cached or something, but I still LOLed.

I'm not too sure that's fair. I've not seen too many flash priests. I've seen a flashing priest however.

it's a legal "version" of cocaine.

    from the op:

Charge is a drug that makes you unable to read the starting post of a thread properly.

Don't do it kids. Just say NO.

You wouldnt mind clarifying how you arrived at the dates shown, i presume, as there are no mentions of time/date in the bible.
