i'm interested in learning too in Dublin. My wife's Chinese but I don't like studying with her. Repeat repeat repeat. Not my style at all. Drives me mad.

So I'm looking for someone who's more practical and with a good track record if possible.

Hello, everyone. I'm Yoko. I've post a few advert here for Chinese lesson in Galway area before. I have been teaching Chinese to Irish for the last three years here in Galway. And I have also taught Chinese for 4 years in the high schools in China. With lots of experice.

Now I'm available for on line lesson if you are interested. This will be more convenient for those students who are not in Galway.

But for on-line lesson, you can only learn general speaking. I can't figure how to teach writing through internet. The lesson will be taken via skype or MSN.

For more details please contact me via email: xingcowell@yahoo.co.uk

I am an experienced primary teacher from Hong Kong. I am offering Mandarin or Cantonese lessons to people who are interested in Chinese culture.

I have experience teaching kids Mandarin/ Cantonese and Chinese. They enjoy the lessons.

I have also teaching experience with adults. I am currently teaching adults on one to one basic. I am told to be a very good teacher.

For kids, I would use lively approach. For adults, I would provide systematic notes that are tailor-made to suit the students.

Cantonese is my native and I also pass the Mandarin examination in Hong Kong as well.

Both Cantonese and Mandarin are Chinese dialects. But all Chinese share the same written Chinese language. I am very good at writing and I won literary prizes in Hong Kong. I also enjoy writing poems, though I am not a very productive writer.

I am also working as a Part time interpretor. I have very good English so communication would not be a problem.

I am a full time student doing my second degree (Montessori). I am free at this moment on Tuesdays 1-4pm, Fridays before 4pm, Saturdays anytime and Sundays after 4pm.

Lessons can be provide in your house (in Dublin city centre or around) or in a quiet cafe.

If you are interested to learn the Chinese culture and the Chinese language, please email me at ywc618@yahoo.co.uk

    Hello,

I am professional Chinese teacher from Taiwan. I have taught Chinese as a second language in National Political University in Taipei and other institutions to students, professional, EU diplomats, and other even other Chinese teachers.

I have proven experience in lecture design and lecturing as well as all relevant government and 3rd party certificates and recommendations.

Interesting option I offer is teaching Chinese over Skype. I have designed methodology that I have successfully tested. Progress is about 10 - 20% slower compared to face-to-face lessons, but time-saving and flexibility in setting lecture times is substantial (evening / weekend classes).

Please call my husband/manager at Skype "martingroch" to discuss the details.

    Julia

    Hey,

If anyone is interested in learning Mandarin checkout these links:

This guy Francois Tchiegue does this video webcast here in Beijing. (or at least he used to)
    http://www.bonlive.com/search/sid-12.php

These guys at ChinesePod have a pretty good podcast going
    http://chinesepod.com/
I think you may have to pay for some content but there is definitely some good free stuff.

Dim Sum Chinese Tools is a program I have found invaluable over the last few years.

    Hey,

I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere in Cork city that is doing Mandarin classes, ideally in the evening. I think UCC is doing something like that but I think it's a full time thing.

Or if there is anyone that would like to teach Mandarin I would be happy to do a language swap or something.

I have been learning for a few months on and off via the internet but would really like something a bit more structured.

    Thanks
