How to tell when a lad fancies a girl??

    Ok, I think this might be one for the lads, an insight into your minds might be very helpful to us ladies!
    I am in a situation with a lad at the moment and cannot figure out if he likes me or not? Any advice or tips anyone?

    Well first of all the OP has not said she fancies him ... so I don't intend advising her to ask him if this is the case.

    Guys are usually very transparent in showing that they fancy someone. They will gaze in a girl's direction that they fancy, very unselfconsciously when she is around, and will often be tongue tied when they meet them.

    That's a generalisation. I'm not like that. I'm always a shy when it comes to these things and don't know what to do. My default response is to just act normally, in case she gets the idea I like her and then makes fun of me or something :o

    I'll do the gazing into the eye thing though, when we're talking. A bit of banter here or there but that's it. Lost a very good opportunity not so long ago with a good friend and did nothing. It's a lost cause with her now. :(

    Point is OP, if you like someone, make it very clear. Eye contact is a very good way if you're a girl. Take a chance, ask him out with you to go hillwalking/cinema anything that you both have a common interest in. It doesn't need to be stated as a "date". Then make it very clear you are interested. That should work.

    But if he's anything like me you might need to take the initiative :D
