You're not the only one. I can handle prawns on the rare occasion, and the occasional battered cod/haddock, everything else can fcuk right off.

Well my mother used to feed us fish when we were kids. I think she was incapable of removing bones from the fookers so that didn;t help, and then about 5 years I had a nast experience with a sardine. oh god. it's was horrendous.

I had smoked coley a few weeks ago actually, and it was rather tasty. I found out afterwards that it was cooked in Milk. interesting to say the least.

I'm not adventurous when it comes to swimmers. I was told that smoked coley was exactly like smoked cod. Thats as far as I can gfo what with broadening my horizons :D

Argh. I hate this 'email to express your interest in job' sh*te. It's just adding an extra step to the whole process. Can you not see that by making contact/wanting to show a portfolio/wanting to meet up that I'm bloody interested in the job.

The whole thing just stresses me out. I'd much rather do it in person.

  • Moderators Posts: 24,367 ✭✭✭✭ChewChew

Awh no Fajitas, thats a bit poo!! Where is the job?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,624 ✭✭✭✭Fajitas!

Over here in London, don't want to give too much details yet, wouldn't know who'd be googling my name :pac:

I think I've spent the last hour and a half writing and rewriting the blasted email to make it sound 'just right'.

Big time, especially when you're not specifically asked to, but still need your email to stand out from the crowd, added to the fact I can't show a portfolio in my email :-/

Brought the wrong camera to town today, still, got some lovely (but expensive) photo's. The changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace is hilarious.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,048 ✭✭✭✭Snowie

why what do they do ?

I booked an appointment with the doc.... did odd jobs and stuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,624 ✭✭✭✭Fajitas!

Well, three of them march up along the front of the palace (think Ministry of Funny Walks walk), until they get to the guards box, then one of them stands facing the guard that's posted there, another guard stands beside the guard posted there, also facing out, and another guard faces the one posted there, he then goes in behind the guard, and does something inside the box, while the other two swap places by shuffling their feet - without taking their feet up off the ground. Then there's a bit more facing each other, then they march off again, to bring out the next guard.

    You'd have to watch it.

Hope yer getting that ear checked out! Best of luck with it.
