The camera was moving quite a bit, odd in itself, but makes freezing half the frame more dificult.
Are the resuts still not up on nationallottery.co.uk or BBC.co.uk/lottery ?

How is a hand held camera moving around odd?

Camera "moving" a lot is a trick... its a pan, I mean why not have a stationary cam?

Why did it have to be hand held? It was a studio that could've had better cameras. Nothing he does is by accident. I've seen steadier cameramen.

The second camera will probably be the footage for Friday.

Guys, you can SEE the freakin' ball moving up as the shot is faded! The 'after' balls were rushed in place and the one on the end is too high up!

some one may have said this already but here i go

im still a bit skeptic but maybe just maybe they used trickery of television. the balls that he predicted were standing on a pole in full view of the audience with the screen showing the lotto beside them. the only way they could have rigged it was by putting a still picture up of the balls on the pole while the lotto was taking place(spilt image). as lotto was taking place people behind scenes could have been adjusting the balls on the pole, viewers would not have seen this as the still picture would have been on our screens then when lotto is over picture becomes live and derran brown reveils numbers he predicted.

thats my answer to it, surely ye cnt predict lotto!

    what do other people think?.

Ive watched it about 3x on Sky+ now and i am almost positive it wasnt camera trickery.

I think it could be some crazy probability maths equation he has done twice a week for the last year.
He said this has taken him a year (so its hardly photoshop:p) and he said he planned to predict "5 or 6 of the numbers but not the bonus"...

The mans a genius... I wished they showed the solution tonight, im eager to see..

He says "we don't know exactly what time the bbc will be doing the draw"

"hopefully will happen in our window"

"if they do anything different we will miss it"

Sounds like if the bbc's timing is any way off his trick won't work

He says its because channel 4 have only given him 10 minutes but i''d imagine they'd let him overrun a couple of minutes since he's so popular

Maybe the balls were printed by something, I heard e-ink mentioned somewhere else. He does touch them slightly at the end, the number moves as expected, so I don't think it's a projection.

Does he move kind of funny at 5.14

As i said earlier it possible there is some kind of printer in the stand and maybe a roller to turn the balls. That might explain the ball seeming to rise if the balls were turning to face up

I noticed that too (as well as a remarkably steady camera shot for that moment in time)

His movement is off throughout the whole thing. Look when he is writing down the numbers.

Its probably something to do with those ad's for his show where he is moving backwards while talking properly.

He billed the 4 episode series as misdirection in each of the adverts, to think otherwise is just stupid

It was either a locked off camera shot with simulated camera shake, or a genuine hand held camera with motion tracking going on. Seriously, you can see the 'after ball' transition when it's faded. Keep an eye on the ball on the left. It rises ever so slightly when the shot is faded, because the stage hand left it too high (as you can see more clearly in the close-up when he goes over to them)

His right hand is not visible while balls are coming out.

He is attaching slivers of self adhesive clear plastic to bottom of sign he is going to write on which are inked with the correct numbers.

He then writes on sign as a justification for having the thing.

He then goes over to balls and holds sign over them before turning them around allowing slivers of clear plastic to ink the back of the balls with the correct numbers. He goes through numbers he hand wrote on the board as a distraction while hes doing this.

    he then turns around balls.

yea but how does he get ink on balls by the looks of the clip his hands or plastic dont get near enough to them?

    I dont understand.
Why not show us the numbers before they come out... he claims he was not allowed show the lotto numbers before them, But theres no law against show his predictions??

    You are dead right.
That bull$hit claim compromises the whole thing.
Of course there's no way he could do that, but it still makes it bollox as you say.

    Still, i generally like him.

To me the numbers look like they are printed onto small rectangular pieces of paper then stuck onto the balls, so its a rushed job. How they got there i dont know, but good trick all the same.

have to laugh at people asking why didn't he show the numbers before the draw, hes an illusionist, he cant see the future:D the art is brilliantly tricking people.
