    Hi there

My wifey is from van and wants to go home. i will probably spend the next 6 to 9 Months planning and saving etc etc. I was hoping to speak with some one irish who has made the transition. I suppose i have the advantage of being married to a canuck with plenty family in van. It would be great if anyone out there is involved in the engineering industry but beggers n choosers etc etc:pac:

hope to hear from some one and get some advise.

They are quite strict about the "term" engineer in Canada, as its a protected title, so you might have to get your qualifications verified.

What type of engineering are you involved in?

A few years back i done some work out in Vancouver for Ballard power systems, not sure how they are doing now...

Ahh ok, what sort of CAD? there are a lot of small companies doing good work in Canada, so you should pick up something...

I'm not too familiar with BC specifically, as i lived in a different part of Canada, so don't know of any doors to knock on in particular. From memory Monster.ca was popular enough.

Enjoy BC, it is a nice place from everything i've seen of it.
