    Hi guys,
Just started in the Carlisle Gym in crumlin have gone about 5 times so far. Really enjoying it.
Was just wondering, as I can't afford a personal trainer would anyone be able to help with some basic advice.

    I'm female, 19, I weigh 9.2 st (Normal weight 8.6) I am a vegetarian.
I would like to lose weight off my arms (bingo wings:confused:) and thighs/hamstring area as well as toning up my abs.

Any advice welcome. Sorry I don't know much

I would guess your diet is too carb heavy, not enough protein as that seems to be the way with vegetarians.

Can I enquire as to your reasons for this? Moral? Personal? Health?

'The Vegetarian Myth' comes highly recommended. I've read abstracts and reviews, but haven't gotten roudn to reading it yet myself.

As for exercise, learn how to squat, bench press, deadlift, overhead press, do pull ups and dips (there should be an assisted machine in Carisle). Make these the stable of your training.

What are you currently doing in the gym?
