    Hey all,

Is there a way to manually specify what username/password should be used when connecting to a shared folder?

I know I can just map it as a drive and specify the details there but is there anyway to do it from the Run line, eg: \\servername user : password

    Cheers

Do you mean something like this:

    \\servername\sharename password /user:machinename\username

    ?

yep - though it must be me cause I can't get that syntax to work.

Better again if there's a way to force it to put up the login prompt/box?

Everything is a variable except the bit in bold.

    \\servername\sharename password /user:machinename\username

    Is that what you did?
